Each capsule contains 750mg of betaine hydrochloride and 50mg of pepsin (1:15,000). Both amounts are stated on the label. 120 capsules per bottle.

About the ingredients

Betaine hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt of betaine, a compound found naturally in foods such as beetroot, spinach and wheat bran. Pepsin is an enzyme that breaks down protein; the stomach makes its own.

How to take it

Take 1 to 4 capsules with a main meal that contains protein, starting with 1, or as directed by your practitioner. Do not take it on an empty stomach. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Cautions

Not suitable for anyone with a stomach ulcer or gastritis. If you take medication that affects stomach acid, such as a proton pump inhibitor, speak to your doctor before use. If you feel any discomfort, stop taking it and speak to your practitioner.
